A circus in Copenhagen

When I read about some of the things that will be taking place at the climate change conference in Copenhagen, I just about lost it! To use lite language. What a freaking joke this thing is. The ultimate goal at this so-called conference is to establish a sort of one world government, ostensibly to oversee the industrialized nations of the world heap loads of money on the 3rd world and developing nations. And you know who’ll be at the top of that list….the good ‘ole US of A!
Barack Obama intends on showing up towards the end of the gala event to get in on any signing of any climate change treaties that other nations will decide on. In other words Obama will have his wish of America cowtowing to other countries. We kneel, we apologize for whatever someone else thinks we should apologize for, we throw money at little countries that are struggling and at risk for severe climate problems, because we leave the biggest carbon footprint, (I’d like to shoot whoever thought that term up). And we take several more steps toward socialism. Another Obama dream.
It’s no wonder that these environmentalist whacko fringe lefties are laughed at and shirked off. And now that these leaked emails are exposing the hoax of man-made climate change, it’ll be even funnier to watch them try to get out from under this one! Yessir….Al Gore and his crew have had people fooled for quite sometime now, but it’s over Al baby. Of course if the cap and trade bill gets passed somehow you’ll still stand a chance of making a few million, you dolt.
Anyway…I wrote this article for Examiner that you can visit at the link I posted above, I think you’ll find some of what goes on is just plain ridiculous, it’s a sham and a scam. I’m just not willing to turn over my freedoms, my money, and my traditions to suit some other country that couldn’t care less about us….except for maybe our demise. And if Obama signs something at this conference that has us spending more money that we don’t have, it’ll just go to show how dangerous the guy really is.
I Say Just Pack It In…We Don’t Need Any Military!

Hope everyone is doing well. I’ve always known about this TV series called “Criminal Minds“, but never watched it before because I usually don’t watch any network television crap. But since this show has gone into syndication I’ve been watching it when I have time to do TV and it’s pretty damn good!! Excellent scripting and story lines. I dunno….just had to get that out there ya know? I’m not usually very impressed with what Hollywood has to offer anymore but this is pretty good.
Guess I’ll be going to catch this new Sci-Fi flick “Avatar” when it comes out this month. I gotta have my Sci-Fi fix and this one looks pretty good. Of course you usually can’t go wrong with James Cameron at the helm and Sigourney Weaver in it playing two parts….one of her characters is ten feet tall, oh my.
Have a great weekend all….
My Sixth…
Well it’s been a tough road with this “paid-for” writing gig. I mean…I’ve had to change the way I think even! And me? Learn to think a different way? Uh…and just when I thought I knew everything yeah? Ah well, at least I’m not so old and set in my ways that I can’t be open for at least a few new ideas.
Below is the link to my sixth article with Examiner.com and maybe my best so far. Although I should leave that criticism to others . I just know that in order for me to place the hyperlinks, and quote from others, it takes a whole lot of research and sometimes hours to compile. Usually I don’ spend quite that much time as I’m writing more from my own opinion, and not including those of others. And I had absolutely NO idea that writing in 3rd person only was going to be such a huge challenge.
I suppose another good thing to come of this is that I’m building a fairly decent resume, one which I can pass along to other larger publications. Although this one does have a pretty big readership. I’ve noticed that a number of the others require actual reporting experience that I do not have. In other words…getting out with the ‘ole pad and pen and tracking down people to interview them. Oops…that’s not me. I might call you on the telephone, but I ain’t gettin’ out nowhere. I’m more the commentator type.
Anyway….I figured I’d drop a line here with all my old EFX buddies. I still wish we weren’t all scattered out so far apart. I’ll be checking back in real soon!

Open Invitation!!
I invite everyone, friends, family, all EFX’ers, and everyone else to follow me at the online magazine Examiner, or, http://examiner.com I’ve been hired as the Dauphin County Republican Examiner. And yep…it’s a paying gig and I’m diggin’ on it! Below is the link to my second published article. I’ll be doing strictly political commentary, however, sadly for me I won’t be adding my personal feelings or opinions. And everyone that knows me knows that I’m not at all shy about speaking up.
I haven’t been posting in a while as my house was turned into a half hospital room and half nursery, as my girlfriend’s daughter had her first child but with complications for her. Born is a boy, Jayden Colby Baron Kock, weighing in at 8lbs. 4oz’s. He is healthy as can be with all ten fingers, ten toes, and a couple of healthy lungs! To be sure. So for almost a month we were the only ones that could adequately provide home nursing care. We had to learn how to change her dressings, and repack this huge opening, (as best I can describe), where she had a C-Section. The opening developed an infection which had the doctors taking out the staples long before they were due to come out.
They let her go after a couple of days pumping her full of industrial strength antibiotics and a morphine drip. The nurses taught my girlfriend and I how to do what I still feel they should have been doing. I believe they let her go way too early, just to get the bed, you know, new patient more money! So….that’s been part of the deal plus I had to get some work in as well, then this deal came along and I took their tests and completed a background check, and once that was done I was cleared to start publishing. It’s a pretty cool magazine in that it has all kinds of different choices and categories to choose from, whatever you’re interested in, from politics to travel and leisure, to dining, to hotspots….you name it, it’s there. I’ll still be posting here for sure and may if I can copy from my articles and post them here…I think I can do that.
So do come join me…I’d love the visits and the comments and would love to see you all there!!

Obama-Song…The Indoctrination!
‘‘
This is pure, unfettered, unadulterated, bloody fucking indoctrination! Just like what takes place in communist countries, like when the Nazis were in power, and like wherever dictators rule. It starts with the children…get them brainwashed very early on in life. Make them believe that this man is the greatest man in the new age. That Barack Obama is the savior, the president who will forever change the world, the loving and kind president that will protect them, nurture them, and make sure that they will never want for anything. Yes parents, indeed…let your children be indoctrinated at school with Barack Obama. Have them come home with homework assignments that task them to list ways that they can help the president. Why….didn’t you have this very same thing when you were in grade school parents? Didn’t you?
With the exception of this particular school; can anyone name any other school of the 20th or 21st Century that indoctrinated the American children in this way? No…of course you can’t because it has never happened before. This is what extreme far left liberals have dreamed of, they have yearned for the chance to indoctrinate children at a very early age in life to their ideals, their beliefs. The kids are at a stage in their lives where they’ll believe most anything an adult, in this case a teacher, tells them. Kids haven’t yet learned to question authority, or to even reason for that matter. I thought I was scared before…I am now truly frightened. This country is being transformed into a socialist state right before our very eyes. And the children are getting their precious little heads filled with absolute garbage, and lies, and ugly propaganda.
We have Obama-fatigue, we’re on Obama-overload, since his taking the oath this guy has appeared on TV 146 times, included are his appearances on late night talk shows like David Letterman. And it’s no secret that Letterman is a liberal-loon that is so in love with Obama it’s pathetic. Obama doesn’t seem to understand that people are tuning him out. After all of the town hall meetings that have gone on nationwide, with the American people making it very, very clear that we’re not interested in his vision and version of a government run health care plan, Obama still feels the need to keep pushing it on us; using the best medium he can…television. And we’re just plain tired of him.
This is a president that is in so deep it’s become not even funny. And in turn he has put this nation in jeopardy, and in harms way when it comes to terrorism. He signed into law a failed stimulus plan, that included bailing out banks, mortgage firms, and some large Wall Street firms…not to mention two of the nations big automobile makers. It was supposed to create jobs as well, so far to date, the only jobs created by this stimulus plan are 25,000 government jobs, thereby only expanding the government which we don’t want. He created “Czar” positions that are appointments, meaning these people are not subject to confirmation hearings like cabinet members are. And Obama doesn’t seem to really know who he’s appointing, they’re not being vetted out. Take his guy Van Jones, appointed as the Green Energy Czar, who has since resigned after being exposed, on video, calling “all” Republicans “assholes.” It was also exposed that he followed communism and thought that Karl Marx had it going on. People like Van Jones shouldn’t be anywhere near the White House.
Now we’re finding out about Obama’s pick for “Safe Schools Czar”, Kevin Jennings, who shouldn’t be anywhere near any kind of school. Jennings is the founder and long-time head of the radical homosexual group GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. GLSEN’s mission has been to plant “gay” clubs and training programs in as many schools as possible. GLSEN now claims 4,000 “gay-straight alliances” exist, although this number is doubtful. Certainly, there are way too many. The group’s target has been to place these clubs in all U.S. schools, K through 12. If you think a kindergartener signing up for a “gay” club is ludicrous, you are not alone. Voters have a right to know who Obama is appointing to these positions, we should know ahead of time about people like this. To think that Barack Obama would have someone like this implementing programs like this throughout all of our school systems is mind-boggling. But Jennings has moved on to better things. He’s now the Obama campaign fundraising co-chair for the “LGBT” community – that’s “lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered.” You can listen to Jennings lay out the rights-oriented rhetoric in two interviews with Joe Solmonese of the Human Rights Campaign, on the website “LGBT for Obama.”
This has become sickening, Barack Obama is pushing this country closer and closer to becoming a socialist state. He will raise our taxes after making irresponsible promises that he won’t. He’s already broken every campaign promise that he made on his campaign trail, he lies about not allowing illegal immigrants to receive free health care, his plan includes a form of amnesty for illegal aliens and eligibility to apply and get free health care. He’s allowing Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV), to push for open borders between us and Mexico, thereby allowing the free flow of illegal Mexican immigrants across our borders. He continually apologizes for America in foreign countries, and even in his recent address to the United Nations. He allows foreign dictators into the country to address the UN and completely bash America while on American soil. He stopped the placement of our missiles in Poland and the Czech Republic, thereby leaving these two countries that are our allies defenseless in the event of a nuclear attack, or against terrorism. Oh…Obama did this on the 50th anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Poland; what a slap in the face!
Sadly though…some out there still think that he’s doing a good job and support every little thing he does, regardless of whatever risk it may be to the nation. He has surrounded himself with ultra-questionable people, such as the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who “God damns” America in his sermons. William Aires, a homegrown terrorist who has blown up government buildings and police stations, and actually killed several police officers. He and his terrorist organization “The Weathermen”, all got off on a technicality allowing them to walk free. Barack Obama is Jimmy Carter x 10. Does anyone here remember in the mid to the last of the 70’s when Carter was in office? Yeah…the gas rationing with odd and even days to get your gas and wait in mile long lines to fill your tank. Interest rates were at 21%, businesses were closing left and right, no one could get loans. He basically ripped apart our military because he wanted America to be a kinder, gentler nation. Carter authorized a rescue mission in the Iranian desert that failed miserably killing 12 servicemen. Iran held 475 Americans hostage for 444 days, just snubbing their noses at Carter, knowing how weak he was. Thank God for Ronald Reagan! The day he took the oath the hostages were released, within a year and a half Reagan had the economy restored and growing, and had successfully cut taxes. Carter was the worst president of the 20th Century, and he still travels abroad bashing his own country.
This is where Barack Obama is taking us….and now schools like the one in New Jersey in the video above; indoctrinating young children about Obama. I’ve posted the lyrics to the two songs below so that you can see just how sickening it really is. It makes me want to throw-up, and very angry. If you look at all the discourse and cat-fighting among the house Democrats, you can see that the health care bill won’t be coming anytime too soon…if at all, and especially in it’s current form. I don’t think that Obama was prepared to have America questioning him. He doesn’t like criticism, and he stays far away from any journalist that he believes might ask him the tough questions, he knows he’ll get caught in a lie…the American people are not that stupid. And 2010 will prove to congress and the White House just how fed-up we really are….and 2012? At this, rate I certainly wouldn’t expect to see Barack Obama win a second term.

Ropes And Chains
When a black man tells me that when Barack Obama says we want “hope and change”, he really means, “rope and chains.” So what say you liberals?![]()
Speaking Up And Out…
Since most folks are hung-up on the health care thing it kinda puts politics at a stand still. And since it’s becoming bigger news about Barack Obama’s popularity numbers really starting to fall, and his job approval numbers likewise….well, what can be said at this point. I did take a Gallop Poll survey today since I had some time, it’s relatively easy to join these pollster places and let your voice be heard. I grew up and was taught by my dad that you have to speak up to be heard. Don’t be bashful about how you feel on a subject…and I haven’t, case in point:
A very long time ago my hours at work had to be changed in order to accommodate a schedule that I needed. The new schedule had me starting work at 12:00 pm, and since I’m am early riser I had extra time on my hands before heading out the door. Part of my morning routine was working out , and my particular cool down period was on a stationary bike, courtesy my mom since she never used it. The bike stayed in my living room sort of in line of sight to my TV.
I always turned on the TV as I rode off to nowhere, and this was long before cable came along so of course your choices were quite limited where your viewing pleasure was concerned. One of the shows that aired at one particular time-slot time were reruns of the sitcom “Good Times.” You may remember it with that bozo J.J. Jimmy Walker, the wannba comedian whose catch-word was “dynooomite!” Anyway….it was a show about a struggling family in the ghetto or projects in Chicago and the different trials and tribulations they went through but always with a comical touch. It was never humorous to me…that’s just me though. Well, for 4 days in a row the youngest member of the family, supposedly the one that would eventually get out of the ghetto because he was so smart, would everyday,(in the story line), come in the door and start ranting and raving about how all “white people” are rich and how they flaunt what they have. He made it quite clear that “ALL” ” white people” are “rich.” It was stereotyping at it’s finest!
Now mind you…the word “all” was referenced in each segment that he was in, and he was acting out his despair at this fact, and of course the other family members would, on cue, chime in with words of agreement, and words of despair as well, supposedly in a comical way. It wasn’t funny at all and it was obvious that the writers were trying to make some sort of point, or statement, in a very racist way. No….it was incredibly racist, and way too obvious. The script may as well have had lines saying that all black people are dirt poor, that they all live in high-rise tenements with government assistance, or in the projects, still with government assistance. Nothing…. absolutely nothing could be further from the truth! And to make each segment within this shows context, saying outright, that all white people are rich, which by default would make all black people poor is a direct and stinging slap across the face to both whites and blacks. Remember, this show aired long before the politically correct police came up with the term “African American”. Imagine the scripted dialog had that term been invented back then.
Watching this infuriated me to the point where I had to complain, if not to the TV station, then to someone somewhere. I found the stations main number and on the off chance that they might have a complaint department, I asked. They did when I asked the receptionist. She put me through and the line was answered by a very polite and perky woman, who asked what my complaint might be. I explained to her everything I felt and pretty much what I’ve written above only in vocal terms. I explained to her that if I’m viewing this show in this light, then so must many others, and I’ll bet there’s more than a few black folks out there feeling just the same. I didn’t yell or get rude with the girl, I was quite polite but fairly firm in how I felt about how this show was representing both whites and blacks. She listened very intently and acted as though she understood how I felt, and even seemed to agree with me on a couple of points.
I was done, the phone conversation over, she thanked me for taking the time to call and then the proverbial “have a nice day.” Now please don’t get the impression that I think that the show was taken off the air and replaced with something else based solely on my complaint…because I don’t. I might lean more to the thinking that perhaps I wasn’t the only one to have called the station and complained about the same thing. That’s my thinking….but the point being is that I spoke up, I voiced my opinion about something that I felt was wrong. And lo and behold, my eyes were not deceiving me, but the very next day that show was gone, replaced by something else that certainly couldn’t be tagged as being racist…don’t ask me because I don’t remember what it was, I just remember that it was much more non-controversial. Prior to that instance I’d been outspoken and since that instance I’ve been outspoken, and I’m sure I’ll never change…I wouldn’t want to. Because it’s by our voice and our actions that we can get things done, being passive in this day and age just doesn’t cut it, you’ll lose and then wonder why you feel that way you do. You’ll look back kicking yourself saying “if only I’d just said something back then, it might have made a difference!”
Don’t you just hate when that happens?

“Should I Stay Or Should I Go?” A Friends Story.
Well it’s finally happened….I finally know someone personally that is going to live with a women whom he met on the internet, without ever having met in person, only spoken to by phone. And driving cross country as well leaving behind a lot of stuff, some of which I’ve gotten. If for no other reason than to make sure it’s somewhere safe and available to him in the event that things don’t work out. Some very nice stuff too I might add.
I say finally happened to me as though it’s some sort of bad thing, and that’s certainly not what I meant. What I meant is that I know of others, but I don’t know them personally. These would be people far removed from me, folks that you hear about, or read about, or a friend knows someone etc.etc. This guy is a good friend, so I guess that’s what makes the difference. But I didn’t see this coming. I knew that he was chatting with someone he said he had met online, and that they talk by phone from time to time…but in a span of maybe 10 months to a year the subject of his possibly heading out to Californ-e-ia never came up. So…here it is and it’s surprising the heck outta me because if you knew the man, he’s very settled, has a nice place with nice things, and one that even if you didn’t know the guy you’d probably assume that he’s pretty much here to stay.
Some years back I remember reading about, then seeing a news piece on it. A story about this couple that fell in love online, met once, and decided to get married. The bride was adamant that they wait until the honeymoon to consummate the marriage, and so the groom agreed. The bride goes home to pack and move in with the groom since he had a bigger place. Neither had much money so they decided that the honeymoon would have to be put off, and so they married. Long story short….marry, party, go home, time to get down to business, and the bride is a not a bride…the bride is actually a groom, Eewwwww! Yeah, there was some sort of legal wrangling and the thing was annulled. So it does serve as a reminder that you just can’t know everything completely.
There are other stories out there like that, but their are also a number of success stories of online meetings that end up quite nicely fine. I’m hopeful for my friends sake that this will be the case. I could only imagine the look on his face if he were to get a surprise like that! Yet what I find somewhat strange in all of this is that I….yeah me, uh-huh, me, don’t have an opinion one way or another. I’m happy for the guy and hopeful for the best. I guess I’m old fashion in that I want to have a romance and know the person through touch, through physical interaction, by looking into their eyes, seeing facial expressions when they talk or answer. And just spending time with the person before I come to some sort of life changing decision. Yes…I have had whirlwind romances before so shut-up!
I guess my point being is that there would have been a time when I would think, “you’re nuts!” Of course I do advocate caution, but then I advocate caution in a lot of things. Like being around me requires the use of extreme caution! I think that since the announcement I’ve heard I think 3 somewhat dissenting opinions on the move. But for the most part the same kind of feeling as me. I guess we’re living in the 21st Century. Wait….my mom is still back in the early part of the 20th Century, so she’s very against the idea of someone just picking up and leaving like that to move into someone else’s place after only online chats and phone conversations. I see her point….personally I wouldn’t do something like that, but that’s just me. And I don’t judge or criticize anyone that would choose that path. To each his/her own, you’re an adult and you’ll either be very happy, or the opposite, very unhappy. That would truly suck, especially if you’ve left a lot behind.
Well I guess the biggest question I have is, say in the event that things don’t work out and he wants to come back, and reclaim his stuff, you know, some of the nice stuff. Would the 9/10 possession law hold up if I wanted to invoke it? Would he be well within his rights to reclaim the things even though there was no sale? Or just be billy bad-ass and kick my butt and just take it all back. I’m laughing as I write this because we’re very good friends, and none of that would matter should the man come on back. I’m quite blessed, so there would be no problems at all. And I did make it clear that I’ll only charge him a small storage fee should he return…he he. I guess the moral to all this comes down to a question for most folks. It could be a “yes or no” answer, or with some folks it might be a “well it depends” type answer….and that opens up a whole bunch of doors and possibly cans of worms.
I’m getting too old for cans of worms so I’m a no. But if one of you out there decides that you’re going to go like that, I know a great storage facility that’s real cheap! Ha ha ha. And ya know, that brings up another thing…leaving possessions behind, no sales just give away. Like I said, I’m quite blessed, and to me things are just things, things can always be replaced. Family and friends can’t. However….for the nice things that I do have, I’ve worked hard and long to get to the level I’m at and to have some of the things I have. No I’m not rich…I just feel that way. But I couldn’t just up and start giving stuff away like this. You’re not getting my neato electronic stuff, or all or any part of any of my collections, I wouldn’t even sell that stuff. I made damn sure that he was certain that he wanted to do this and he said yes. He said that he didn’t want to keep things and wanted to travel light, said he can start all over brand new.
Plus being the decent guy he is, (I taught him everything he knows), a good portion of his furniture and wall hangings and things like that are going to his only niece who could really use a lift…that’s a good thing. He also said that between himself and her they decided together what he figured would be good to take along. Which sat well with me because it indicates that she’s not looking to be a gold-digger. Sounds like she’s comfortable herself, and according to my friend she’s settled and responsible…that too is good. All in all things seem ok, or as good as possible given the circumstances. What would you do? Like “The Clash” said….”Should I stay or should I go?”

Humpin’A Man!
![]()
Barack Obama is considering going on national television, again, this time telling the American people that he intends on taking “back” the health care plans from congress. That he has a new strategy and a revised bill that will work. You see, he handed the entire project over to congress to come up with a plan that would suit America’s needs, then of course he’d jump in and take all the credit. Obviously his first mistake was handing ANYTHING over to congress to solve. Those morons in Washington can’t make ANYTHING work, much less something as important as health care. And I have absolutely no confidence that Mr. Obama can handle the job himself…so far he has shown nothing that he can point to and say it works, or is working. Well unless of course he wants to point to bringing our deficit into the trillions. He can if he wants because that much is true.
No president has ever…ever, had congress draw a bill from the start. The president is supposed to hand congress his plan, his bill after he’s completed it and at that time congress will argue what they like and want, and what they don’t like and don’t want. That’s how it has always worked in this country. Congress can try and rework a bill but the president of course has veto power if he doesn’t like the changes made. I guess when Obama said that he wanted to change the “status-quo” in Washington, he meant this way. Had he not realized already that this congress has so far failed at everything its attempted? I find it interesting that at this point Obama realizes that he has to devise a new strategy if he wants to sell the American people on the idea of national health care. I’m pretty sure it’s too late to sell us on much of anything at this point.
This country wasn’t designed, or drafted around a socialistic kind of system. A democracy doesn’t allow for having certain groups foot the bill for other groups through the use of higher taxes. Taxation without representation was the catalyst that began the Revolutionary War. I have no problem with Canada or Great Britain or France having their national health care system. If it works for the people than good. And for those detractors of foreign health care….well, nothing’s perfect; and anything we might come up with certainly isn’t going to be perfect. And poor American’s want, no, demand perfection. As a society we expect the best in everything, and a working and fair, non-deficit increasing, national health care program won’t be any different.
So…when all goes sour, and it is now because this big national controversy is exactly what Obama did not want. Will he then realize the mistake he’s made? He was hopeful that we the people would turn a blind eye and just drink the koolaide, and that his liberal buddies in the senate would scoot a bill through. Then the deed would be done, then we’d have King Barack Obama! The man that finally brought nationalized health care to the American people! Unfortunately Mr. Obama cannot get any Republican support for anything in the bills, although he says he’s been trying to garner bipartisanship…that’s not so. That’s a lie, he knows it, Republicans know it, and Nancy Pelosi herself knows it. It’s important for Obama to get Republicans on board so in the event the bill passes, and then fails the people, he can blame it all on the Republicans. Which is what he does quite well, and everything is also Fox News’ fault, and that of Rush Limbaugh.
But mostly it would be George W. Bush’s fault. Everything that’s wrong here is Bush’s fault. Barack Obama is blaming Bush for things that have taken place after he left office. Liberals spent so much of their time blaming Bush for this and that, fabricating things when all else failed, and so it’s a mindset. If something is going wrong while the Democrats are at the helm…it will most assuredly be George Bush’s fault; they’ll find a way to make it so. Finally….Obama’s job approval ratings are so in the tank. It’s taken him 8 months to get into the low 40’s overall. And Americans are sick and tired of the guy jumping in on prime-time television to dribble on about stuff that no one understands. Those poll numbers are even lower than his job numbers, and it’s a sure bet that if he does go on prime-time TV next week, he’s going to turn the people so off that he’ll be virtually shut down, and come November of 2010, he’ll lose his majority in both the house and the senate. Then it’ll really suck to be him….

An Open Apology-A Point.
I want to do something that I’ve never done before in my 6 years of blogging, and that is to openly apologize to someone in the blogging community.
I owe “Donna”, who is the daughter of Laurie or “Kinnigurl” an apology. I was rude and disrespectful, and not to mention inconsiderate. These traits are not me. I may defend my position in something and in the course of doing so come across as rude and disrespectful….and anyone who knows me, and some others here in our community have seen some serious knock-down-drag-out with others; especially where politics is concerned.
Nevertheless…I don’t set out to deliberately be rude and obnoxious. Although one might argue that with the back and forth I had with Donna. So…I had some time while I went off to work to think about how I behaved and realized that I felt this must be done.
And I have a point I’d like to make…and this is in no way meant to negate this apology. Here’s my issue. A very long time ago Laurie posted pictures of her daughter Donna complete with a detailed biography if you will. Needless to say the comments that poured in were of real love and compassion. And I was definitely one of those commenters. If one was to make a judgment, based on the photos and the post itself, one would very quickly come to the conclusion that that person simply did not have the capacity to write, to type, and I’m sorry for this but, even the mental capacity to reason or think. And I’ve never been given a reason to think or believe or understand otherwise.
Laurie and I had been friends prior to this post, but my comments to her in her shoutbox after the Donna post changed a bit. I always ended my comment by asking Laurie to give the Princess Donna love and hugs. This became pretty much the norm for me, now granted I haven’t visited Laurie in some time, but that doesn’t change anything. Still at this point I thought how I thought, and I had no reason to think otherwise.
My first reaction when I realized who I was being rude to was, “how freaking dare you! You don’t think that you might have made known to me who you are”? And then I went on to think that after all this time, you knowing what I must have believed, should have introduced yourself to me. For that matter Laurie could’ve made it a point a long time ago to let me know….set me straight. To tell you the truth I was pretty mad, yeah, I was set straight alright, the fucking hard way! I kept thinking that after all this time, after all those hugs and the loves and that stuff you should have come along and said hello. I can’t know if that makes any sense to either of you…but that’s how I was thinking and feeling. I felt a little lied to, or deceived, and it stuck with me for a few days.
I may be a lot of things to a lot of people, and believe when I tell you that there’s a lot of different opinions out there, but one thing I am, is open and honest about who I am. And I live that way…what you see is what you get, and if you don’t like it….well, then I guess that’s your problem. I’m not going to put on any pretense to satisfy you. Anyone who knows me knows this to be true, it would probably be one of the first things they’d tell you if you were to ask about me. We here in this community can’t really say that we know someone that we call friend. Unless of course you DO know them from being personal friends, like, having been in their home, and maybe eaten all their food, and maybe left big messes in their bathroom. I’m sure you get my drift, but you get my point. That whoever is behind that keyboard and monitor screen is who they’ve told us they are, and we have to take it at face value.
I have friends here in this community that know me personally, and I have friends that don’t blog but still come to visit to see what I might be yammerin’ about at the moment. Those are the ones that don’t have to go to a computer to give me a good “what for!” They can either call or come over to razz me. Anyway…these are the ones that would call me to the carpet if they felt that I was not being open about who I am.
However…regardless of all that, and even though I was feeling the way I was, I knew that I had behaved badly and needed to atone for it, you know, get those wheels of contrition in gear. But I also felt compelled to give my side in all this. You two can take this post any way you like, I would like to keep my friendship with Laurie, and it sure wouldn’t hurt my feelings to start from the beginning with Donna. Let her see just how big an asshole I REALLY am! But that’s for you to decide.
That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it…and all through it!!
